Field Trip At The Vietnam National Museum Of Nature

Following the topic of animals that the children were introduced to earlier this week, the students of Piccolo, Mercury and Jupiter had a field trip to the Vietnam National Museum of Nature. There, our students observed a lot of exhibits relating to the physical structure, fossil bones and the habitat of numerous animals. The field trip was not merely exciting and interesting for the students (direct purpose was to acquire knowledge) but the teachers were able to use such an activity to guide the children in how to manage cooperation in group activities and how to behave politely when they visit a public place such as a museum. In Montessori we call this the indirect purpose. The students had a very enjoyable afternoon.
